Episode 321

Enjoy this beautiful life you’ve been given.  Don’t ever take it for granted.  -Melissa Dupuis

It’s been two years since Melissa Dupuis shared her story on this series, and what a couple of years it has been.  At only 38,  this wellness enthusiast, Pilates instructor, and former professional ballet dancer was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer.  Her little girl, Sage, was only one year old at the time, and although Melissa and her husband wanted to have another child someday, doctors said there was no time for egg retrieval and that the couple’s chances of having another child after her rigorous treatments were over were slim to none.   In this interview, Melissa shares what happened next, and if you are emotional like me, you’ll need a Kleenex to dry your tears of joy. Buoyed by the love of her family and a promise she made to be strong for her daughter, Melissa wrote a children’s book called We Can Do Hard Things:  A Mother’s Journey with Breast Cancer Through the Eyes of Her Daughter.  Published by the female-owned imprint www.brileybaxterbooks.com, this beautifully illustrated book is written for children ages 2-5 and can be pre-ordered with this link: https://a.co/d/3mIRJpD. Says Melissa:  “If you want to help your child understand illness in a lighter way, this book is for you because it’s a true story. These conversations between Sage and me really happened.”   Survivorship is not easy, but Melissa has continued to be resilient.  Spoiler alert: Remember the baby Melissa hoped to have someday?   You’ll have to hit that download button to find out what happened!   #childrensbook #breastcancer #motherhood

It is so incredibly moving to read about Melissa’s journey and the way she has navigated her career and personal growth with such resilience. Stories like this are a great reminder that success isn't just about reaching a destination, but about the lessons we learn through the challenges we face along the way. I often think about how this applies to students today who are balancing their personal passions with intense academic pressure, especially when they are stuck on complex subjects that feel disconnected from their dreams. I’ve known many people who have sought out help with economics assignment answers just to get through the heavy theoretical work so they can focus more on the creative and human-centric paths that Melissa…

What a powerful and uplifting story Melissa shares—her resilience and commitment to well‑being truly inspire. It’s refreshing to hear someone who has been through so much not only come out stronger but also turn her experience into a mission to help others feel healthier in mind, body, and soul. Her journey reminds us how much a positive mindset can transform even the toughest chapters of life. At the same time, it’s interesting to think about how the same determination she shows in healing herself can be mirrored in business, especially when brands use creative methods of sales promotion to connect with people in a genuine, human way rather than just pushing products.

I’ve always wondered how people in Avon handle urgent repairs like leaks or blocked drains. During my search, I found a listing of plumbers near Avon, Indiana that might be useful for quick comparisons.

In academic conversations, gaining clarity often involves understanding ncfe qualification and how it supports skill development. The College of Contract Management provides programmes designed to guide learners. Students explore course structures and assessment methods. These areas are important for long-term growth.

Melissa’s story is truly inspiring, showing the strength and resilience a parent can summon in the face of unimaginable challenges. Her dedication to her daughter and the way she turned her experience into a children’s book highlights the power of love and storytelling. Just as Melissa found ways to protect and nurture what matters most, having reliable tools at home can make life a little easier. A good lock for 3 battery ensures that essential devices remain secure and functional, giving peace of mind while focusing on family and personal growth.
